Airframes

The World Models P-51 Mustang EP

The World Models Voodoo Mustang EP

 

Regulations

Airframe must be stock and unmodified except for motor mounting

Recovering plane is allowed

Either standard P-51 canopy or Voodoo "Reno Racer" style canopy can be used

Belly pan is required unless specified by race organizer

Landing gear is required unless specified by race organizer

Any motor may be used as long as it fits in the stock cowl

Any battery may be used

Any propeller may be used

A spinner is required

Weight limit with battery and ready to fly is a maximum of 28 ounces

Additional air openings and/or scoops are allowed

Trim coloring is encouraged for easier plane identification

 

Race Procedures

Hand launches will be used if field is not takeoff compatible

Racing will be on a 300' 3 pole 1/2A course or a 330' 2 pole course

Race organizer may use different size courses if needed
