Ultra Portable Pylon

The design objectives for the Ultra Portable Pylon were:

  • Regulation height for AMA pylon events
  • Under $30 each
  • All materials from Home Depot or Lowes Home Improvement Stores
  • Simple and quick construction
  • Weather resistant
  • Wind resistant
  • Transport three pylons easily in an SUV or car with minimal breakdown
  • One person can carry into position on field in one trip
  • One person set up
  • Set up three pylons in less than 5 minutes
  • Adjustable for uneven terrain
  • Set up over vegetation like soybeans or cotton with minimal impact
